So not only amateur runners, but also professionals find increasingly favor on training on the high plateau. Nowhere the mountain run South Tyrol can be as varied as in the Running Park Seiser Alm.
Eight of the 20 routes lay at 1800-2300 meters and are perfect for endurance training, thanks to the relatively flat course and the thinner mountain air. The remaining twelve tracks are at 900-1100 meters. Due to the different altitudes, the season lasts for the mountain run in South Tyrol from April to November. During this time, the well-marked running trails can also be explored together with a guide, who will help you by the way to improve running technique and training effect.

Those who want to check whether their running training was successful, have two unique opportunities: the Seiser Alm Half Marathon and the Brixen Dolomites Marathon. Both are true representatives of the category mountain running in South Tyrol, where several hundred meters on the track have to be overcome. For the Seiser Alm Half Marathon, the number of participants who overcome 21 kilometers by 601 meters of altitude is limited to 700. Most of the run is fully booked to the last seat. For the Brixen Dolomites Marathon there is no limit for participants - but the more than 2,000 meters of altitude, which want to be overcome on the classic marathon distance of 42.2 kilometers, are challenging enough.
